First picture of pilot who could be heard reciting the Lord's Prayer before horror plane crash
Tributes are being paid to pilot Jeffrey Gregory and the eight other people killed when a Bahamas-bound Learjet 60 crashed in Palm Beach County, Florida, on November 1.
The aircraft was traveling from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport in Texas to North Eleuthera Airport in the Bahamas. The National Transportation Safety Board has opened an ongoing investigation.
Members of his Pennsylvania church community remembered Gregory, 55, as a man of faith. His longtime friend and former neighbor, David Peters, described their shared upbringing at Limerick Chapel, where their families attended church, and the two went to a small Christian school. Gregory was flying alongside co-pilot Nathalia Gadelha Filgueiras, 20.
Families Remember Those Lost
Among the passengers were technology entrepreneur Adam Robinson, his wife Helen Sharp, and their young children, Emma and Charlie. Also aboard were friends Rachael Reed and Charmi Fehr, and the children’s nanny, Anita Maria Cetina. All nine people on the aircraft died.
In a statement, relatives remembered Robinson and Sharp as loving parents whose children were central to their lives. They described Reed and Fehr as adventurous and deeply committed to their loved ones, while honoring Cetina for the affection and care she gave the children.
The families thanked emergency responders and the surrounding community for their support and requested privacy as they grieve.
Investigators Examine Weather and Aircraft Breakup
The crew reported icing and turbulence before the aircraft’s rapid descent. Investigators are examining those conditions alongside evidence suggesting that parts of the jet separated before it reached the ground.
However, the circumstances of that breakup—and whether weather contributed to the accident—have not been established. Officials are reviewing wreckage, aircraft systems, flight information, and communications to reconstruct the sequence of events.

The crash also affected people on the ground. One man suffered a leg injury, and hundreds of nearby residents were displaced as emergency crews and investigators secured the area.
For the families, the investigation proceeds alongside the immediate loss of parents, children, partners and friends. Their tributes have focused on the relationships and everyday acts of care that shaped the lives of those aboard.
